Vodafone’s business.connected initiative for SMBs gets a boost with the addition of Samsung | VanillaMore

UK. February 07, 2022 – business.connected an initiative of Vodafone and company nation providing free expert training and resources to help improve the digital capabilities of UK SMEs has received a huge boost with the announcement that global consumer technology provider Samsung Electronics France will join the initiative as an “exclusive smartphone partner”.

Starting today, SMBs will be able to access a new range of free digital training courses, covering everything from optimizing connectivity on the go, to seamlessly connecting all your devices, to enable worry-free productivity. Samsung will also participate in business.connected webinars and workshops.

The news follows a similar announcement last year which saw Cisco join the business.connected initiative.

Launched in May 2021, business.connected offers free expert digital training to small businesses to help them embrace technology, build their digital skills and stay safe online. The initiative aims to upskill up to 150,000 SMEs in the UK by the middle of the year. The courses are accessible through Vodafone’s V-Hub and cover everything from building an online business, to digital marketing and cybersecurity.

In November 2021, Dragons’ Den investor Steven Bartlett was unveiled as a business.connected ambassador to help raise awareness of the initiative and free training courses among the small business community.

To date, over 65,000 SMEs across the UK have been supported by the online training program with courses in digital marketing and increasing productivity proving to be the most popular.

To begin, Barry Hall, Commercial Director of Samsung Solutions and Partnerships, will host a virtual lunch and learning session on “How to Improve Your Digital Security”.
